It is never too soon to start thinking about life after high school. In the state of Colorado, students can finish high school with a "Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness" endorsement on their diploma which indicates to colleges and employers that this student has the necessary skills to be ready for work and/or college without any remediation. Students are also required in Colorado to create an Individual Career and Academic Plan or ICAP. Exploring interests, skills, and career aptitudes should start in middle school. Below are some college and career resources for middle school students.
